Bowel Management Program
Ensure 6–8 glasses of water daily to promote stool hydration. Provide high fibre diet to assist stool formation. Administer laxative as prescribed by doctor. Refer to medication chart for administration. Provide fresh fruit and prunes. 2–3 hourly toileting regime. Report to RN if BNO 3 days.
